Overview

The Bandit is the first enemy encountered in the game and can be encountered in several later areas too. They are the most basic form of enemies in the game.

Like all enemies, corrupted variants of Bandits can be encountered when the leader player is equal to the area level and appear more often the higher level they are.

Skills

  • Punch - Does 2 Damage and can be faked out. Dodgeable.
    • Deals 4, 6, and 8 for each respective Corruption Level.
  • Steal - Deals no Damage and steals 1-5 Cents. Dodgeable.
  • Savage Hit - Deals 6 Damage and inflicts Stun for two turns. Dodgeable. (Corruption 2 and 3 Only)
    • Deals 8 and 10 Damage for Corruption Level 2 and 3.
  • Barrage - Deals 9 Damage with 8 hits total, first hit dealing 2 Damage and the rest dealing 1 Damage. Partially Dodgeable. (Corruption 3 Only)

Strategy

Fighting Bandits are mostly non-threats, but can prove to bit a struggle to new players learning the controls.

Bandits can appear in groups of one to four alongside other Bandits and later with Burglars in the Hidden Woods. As such, Fiery Explosion and Giant Crowbar are ideal for eliminating them quickly. Alternatively, Ice Armor can be used to completely negate any attack they throw.

Against Corruption 1 Bandits, they are comparable to that of a Burglar in raw stats, with the difference being that Health is 10 rather than 7. Dull Rapier can finish it off on turn two. Against Corruption Level 3, they gain Barrage, though it is mostly a non-threat and Dull Rapier is ideal for when they are alone.

Trivia

  • The Bandit is the only enemy that can go into water by following you into the waterfall.
