Overview

Bedrock is the first major boss in the game. It is found in the second part in Druid Grove opened by the Grove Key.

Bedrock is a supersized Golem with grass protrusions instead of spikes. Horns protrude out the head. More horns appear as corruption level increases. It is always accompanied by two Druids under normal circumstances.

Skills

  • Outrage (Boss Cheat) - Activates whenever an item is used. Deals POW3 Damage to all players. Undodgeable.
    • Corruption2+ Corrupted Druids can also trigger Outrage when they use an item.
    • Bedrock wont use Outrage if he is SleepAsleep.
  • Fury - Costs self HP3 Hitpoints in return for PoweredUpPower Up-3 for two turns.
    • It is possible for the Power duration to be increased by the accompanying Druids.
  • Brutalize - Deals POW14 Damage to one enemy and inflicts BrokenBonesBroken Bones-3 and StunStun for two turns. Undodgeable.
    • (Corruption1) - Damage increased to POW16.
    • (Corruption2) - Damage increased to POW18.
    • (Corruption3) - Damage increased to POW20.
  • Rock Storm - Deals POW8 Damage to all players in join order, and inflicts WeakenedWeakness 1 for three turns. Dodgeable.
    • (Corruption1) - Damage increased to POW10.
    • (Corruption2) - Damage increased to POW12.
    • (Corruption3) - Damage increased to POW14.
  • Earthquake - At the start of each player's turn, deal POW1 Damage to all allies and enemies. Undodgeable.
    • Having more than DEF1 Defense will completely negate the effects of Earthquake.
  • Nap Time - Inflict self with SleepSleep for one turn and Outrage is inactive during the Sleep.
    • Sleep works exactly the same as the Stun status, but also restores HP5 Hitpoints when it expires.

Strategy

Due to Outrage, using items besides the Hoagie in critical situations is not recommended. While Bedrock falls SleepAsleep, items can be used without penalty. Alternatively, Ice Armor completely blocks the POW3 Damage from Outrage without any PoweredUpPower Ups.

If possible, remove the accompanying Druids within the first turn, as their support skills will make the fight inconvenient. Two "Excellent!" Fiery Explosion is enough to get rid of all uncorrupted Druids.

Due to the having a DEFDefense of 4 and high HPHitpoints, it is recommended for a player to use Stone Arm to decrease Bedrock's DEFDefense. Use Dull Rapier as the main source of attack against Bedrock.

Bedrock is immune to all damage-over-time and turn-skipping statuses, rendering skills like Lightning Spear and Slap as poor options compared to Basic Archery.

The same strategy can be used against a CorruptionCorrupted Bedrock, except weaker skills like Basic Archery are completely blocked by the increased DEFDefense without the Power Stone, and even then it Is only POW1 Damage on an "Excellent!" hit.

Trivia

  • Bedrock is the 1st major boss in the game.
    • Bedrock is the 1st enemy in-game to have a Boss Cheat, a sequence that occurs when player do a specific action. In Bedrock's case, he damages all players when they use an item.
  • Bedrock is currently the only enemy listed with the Strange Style.
  • Bedrock, inhibiting both the title of being a boss and a stronger Golem, means that Bedrock is immune to all debuffs status except for WeakenedWeakness.
  • Hilariously, Bedrock can defeat itself by using Fury with less than HP3 Hitpoints.
  • (For above) If you are doing a solo Bedrock, or just doing it in general, it will not count as a won battle when he dies of Fury. Currently, this "bug" is not fixed.
