Overview
Fire Claw is one of 10 possible unique skills that can be obtained from Frogidi's Fortunes.
Fire Claw has 17 alternative colors which changes the color of the flame and the claw trail afterwards. Orange is not a possible color.
The timing for the Action Command is about moment the player swings their right arm to the left.
Succeeding the Action Command performs a 'Critical!' hit, increasing the amount of Damage dealt by 1.
Usage
Fire Claw deals a low amount of Damage to all enemies in addition to having 1 Defense piercing as well as Burn-1.
Compared to the other 1 SP cost Frogidi's Fortune skills: Bomb Toss and Lightning Spear, Fire Claw deals equal amounts of Damage to each enemy rather than the more focused Damage from both the other two skills.
Fire Claw is also comparable to the Tough Poison Spray, which inflicts similar Damage as well as a damage-over-time status and both costing 1 SP. The main difference is the Poison Spray's Poison status, but a lack of Defense piercing.
The most useful property of Fire Claw would be its Burn-1 status, as it results in dealing 2 Damage more in total. Due to the nature of the Burn status, Fire Claw is more useful in drawn out fights like Corruption 2 or 3 enemies and bosses, however its use is limited because of its low Damage. This property is overshadowed by Fiery Explosion, dealing more Damage from the initial attack and has a 3 Turn Burn-1 status instead, though it costs 3 SP. This makes Fire Claw more or less a supplement when 3 SP cannot be afforded or if Fiery Explosion is overkill for the situation. Keep in mind that the Burn status inflicted by both does not stack on its duration nor reset it.
Against Corruption 1 & 2 enemies, the enemy will all have at least 1 Defense, which Fire Claw pierces through.
Against Corruption 3 enemies, the enemy will all have at least 3 Defense, rendering Fire Claw fully blocked unless the Damage is increased.
Overall, Fire Claw is mostly outshined by Fiery Explosion, but still useful as a weak clean-up tool on low HP enemies.
