Enemy

A rock monster created and controlled by the Druids to fulfill an unknown agenda. They are completely made out of stone, giving them lots of natural defense.

Overview

Golems are creatures made of living stone, located in the Druid Grove. They were created by Druids to fulfill an unknown agenda. When within range, they'll attempt to hit players with a rock toss, initiating a battle when hit.

Skills

  • Rock Toss (SP0) - Deals POW4 Damage to one enemy. Dodgeable.
    • (Corruption1) - Damage increased to POW6.
    • (Corruption2) - Damage increased to POW8.
    • (Corruption3) - Damage increased to POW10.
  • Stone Arm (SP2) - Deals POW6 Damage to one enemy and inflict WeakenedWeakness-1 for 3 turns. Undodgeable.
    • Blocking will prevent the WeakenedWeakness status inflicted.
    • (Corruption1) - Damage increased to POW8.
    • (Corruption2) - Damage increased to POW10.
    • (Corruption3) - Damage increased to POW12.
  • Stone Guard (SP1) - Imbues self with DefenseUp +4 Defense for one turn.
  • Earthquake (SP1) - At the start of each player's turn, deal POW1 Damage to all allies and enemies. Undodgeable.
    • Will always use Earthquake whenever it is not active.
    • Having at least DEF1 Defense will completely negate the effects of Earthquake.

Strategy

Use Dull Rapier to deal the most damage. If you have Stone Arm, then use this on a CorruptionCorrupt 1+ Golem (Tough Stone Arm is good for uncorrupted Golems).

Golems are immune to PoisonPoison, BurnBurn, and ShockShock, rendering skills such as Lightning Spear as poor options compared to their pure damage counterparts. However, Golems are not immune to StunStun and StuckStuck, unless provided immunity by CorruptionCorruption 2+.

It is recommended to use a HP or SP restoring item or an effect inducing item when a Golem uses Armor Up as attacking will do low damage without any value.

The same tactic can be used against CorruptionCorrupted Golems up until CorruptionCorruption 3 Golems, where Stone Arm (preferably Stunning) is a necessity due to high defense. If it's not an option, Evil Impact has a better SPSP to POWDamage ratio than Dull Rapier.

Trivia

  • Currently, Golems and Bedrock are the only enemies to have an innate immunity to statuses.
  • Golems are the only enemies in the game to not be a boss or mini boss, and not get any new skills when corrupted.
