Overview
The Snowman is a special enemy in the game that was first introduced in the 2018 Christmas Event. Snowmen during the event could be encountered at a 20% chance for players that are over Level 5, replacing the regular enemies in the battle. It will never replace the leader enemy.
Skills
- Summon Snowman - Build a Snowman to fight alongside with.
- Will always use Summon Snowman whenever there is an open spot.
- Will never spawn a Corrupted Snowman and cannot be used by the newly summoned Snowman.
- (2+) Teal Bomb Toss - Deals 9 Damage and inflicts Stun for one turn to target. 5 Damage to all non-targets. Undodgeable.
- (3) Damage increased to 11 to target and 7 to non-targets.
- Becomes Purple Bomb Toss at Corruption 3.
- (3) Purple Ice Armor - Increases user's Defense by 3 for four turns.
Strategy
Snowmen are almost always low priority targets due to their high Health and lack of Power, though over time the unavoidable damage of the Gift Grenade will stack up if not taken out in a timely manner.
Snowmen are always accompanied by another enemy and should be taken out last. Fiery Explosion is a preferred choice to also eliminate/weaken enemy support, ideally followed by Barrage and Basic Archery, all being 'Critical!' against the single Snowman. If there is more than one Snowman, then use Fiery Explosion or Giant Crowbar instead. If taking damage is a concern, Ice Armor removes the damage from both Gift Grenade and Snow Toss.
Against Corruption 1 Snowmen, the same tactic can still be used.
At Corruption 2, Snowmen gain Bomb Toss, making them a more considerable threat because of Stun infliction. Using Ice Armor is recommended due to the unavoidable splash damage from Bomb Toss. Dull Rapier and Stone Arm will be preferred over Barrage and Basic Archery due to raised Defense.
At Corruption 3, Snowmen gain Ice Armor, so it is advised to deal as much damage to the Snowman before it is used, as they will be much harder to defeat due to outstanding Defense.
Trivia
- Snowmen can no longer drop Snowman Power which increases their spawn rate and allows them to spawn outside the Winter Event.
