Overview
The Snowman is a special enemy in the game that was first introduced in the 2018 Christmas Event. Snowmen during the event could be encountered at a 20% chance for players that are over Level 5, replacing the regular enemies in the battle. It will never replace the leader enemy.
Skills
- Summon Snowman - Summons a Snowman to fight alongside with.
- Will never spawn a Corrupted Snowman and cannot be used by the newly summoned Snowman.
- (2+) Teal Bomb Toss - Deals 9 Damage and inflicts Stun for one turn 1 to target. 1 Damage to all non-targets. Undodgeable.
- (3) Damage increased to 11 for target and 1 for non-targets.
- Becomes Purple Bomb Toss at Corruption 3.
- (3) Ice Armor - Increases user's Defense by 3 and Power by 1 for four turns.
Strategy
Fighting Snowmen are always low priority targets due to their high health and lack of a major threat, though over time the unavoidable damage of the Gift Grenade will stack up if not taken out in a timely manner.
Snowmen are always accompanied by another enemy and should be taken out last. In a solo fight, Fiery Explosion is a preferred choice to also eliminate/weaken enemy support, ideally followed by Barrage and Basic Archery, all being 'Excellent' against the single Snowman. If more than one Snowman, then use Fiery Explosion instead.
With a teammate, the same tactic should be employed. Additionally, if taking damage is a concern, Ice Armor removes the non-target damage and reduces damage from both Gift Grenade and Snow Toss.
Against Corruption 1 Snowmen, the same tactic can still be used. Against Corruption 2 and 3 Snowmen, Dull Rapier will be preferred over Barrage and Basic Archery due to their Defense.
Trivia
- Currently the only enemy with a "Guard" style of battle.
- Snowmen can no longer drop Snowman Power which increases their spawn rate.
